How To Prepare Basa Fish Recipes

Basa fish is a type of catfish found in the Mekong River Delta and Chao Phraya Basin in Vietnam. The other name for basa fish is bocourti.
The basa fish is a plant eater and is an important food resource in the area of its origin. In the recent years the fish has met a growing popularity to the rest of the world.

Basa fish is prepared in several basa fish recipes. One of these is the Baked Basa Fillet with Vegetable Rice. This is a super yummy meal. My wife and I love the taste and is a favorite dish for both of us.

The Basa fish recipes are easy to prepare and the taste is so nice.
To prepare Baked Basa Fillet with Vegetable Rice you need:

Ingredients(Basa Fillet)
• Frozen Basa Fillet(s)
• Fresh or Dried Dill Weed
• Butter
• Lemon Slices or Lemon Juice

Instructions (Basa Fillet)
1. Wrap frozen Basa fillet(s) in aluminum foil (shiny side in)
2. Shake dill all over the top of fish
3. place 3-4 pats of butter on fillet
4. Drizzle with Lemon Juice and lay slices on top of fish
5. wrap foil tightly (fold ends and along top) and bake in 400F oven for approx 30 min or until done.

Ingredients (Rice with Vegetables)
• 1 cup brown rice plus 2 cups vegetable stock (cook or steam rice)
• 1/2 cup zucchini, cubed
• 1/2 cup sweet red pepper, diced
• 3/4 - 1 cup fresh mushrooms, roughly chopped
• 2 chives, green and white parts diced
• 1 tbsp butter
• dash of dill weed
• lemon juice

Ingredients (Rice with Vegetables)
1. Sautee veggies in large skillet in PAM until tender
2. add cooked/steamed rice to skillet and cook 5 min
3. add butter, lemon juice and dill weed and stir well
4. now, place rice in dish and top with cooked fish (plus juices from cooking) and serve with sautéed green beans or other vegetable of your choice.
